CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES & AWARDS
The World Championship Surf & Shore Anglers Tournament is federally trademarked to the WCSSF Federation LLC.
Championship titles are defined by the interest and demand from surf & shore anglers from around the world.
Titles are awarded by the standards and accumulation of overall points by a Contender against his or her peers around the World, on their respective Continent, Country, and Coastlines in the tournament.
The 2008 World Champion Surf & Shore Angler 
Will be chosen based on the most accumulated points averaged throughout the tournament season.
Prizes:
- Silver Title cup hand delivered
- Champion Angler Cap with Angler name embroider
- Commercial representation and spokesperson for the sport
- Cash prize (Is a percentage based on the number of paid registrant and sponsors in the World Championship Contender and Teams Divisions, will respectively rise throughout the tournament season)
(Angler is not required to except this responsibility however it could be lucrative for champion)
The 2008 World Champion Surfcasting Team
Will be chosen based on the most accumulated points averaged throughout the tournament season.
Prizes:
- Silver Title cup hand delivered with all anglers name engraved on the base.
- Silver or bronze World Championship Team medal given to each Angler.
- Champion Team Caps with each Anglers name embroider
- Commercial representation and spokesperson for the sport
- Cash prize (Is a percentage based on the number of paid registrant and sponsors in the World Championship Contenders and Teams Division, will respectively rise throughout the tournament season)
(Anglers are not required to except this responsibility however it could be lucrative for champion)
The 2007 Continental, Country and Coastal Champion Surf & Shore Anglers 
Will be chosen based on accumulative points against other Contenders or Top contenders on their respective Continent, Country or Coastline.
Prizes:
- Continental, Country or Coastal Trophy cup hand delivered engraved with angler name.
- Continental, Country or Coastal Angler Cap with Angler name.
- Commercial representation and spokesperson for the sport
(Angler is not required to except the above responsibility however it could be lucrative for champions)
The 2008 Continental, Country and Coastal Champion Surfcasting Teams
Will be chosen based on accumulative points against other contenders or Top contenders on their respective Continent, Country or Coastline.
Prizes:
- Continental, Country or Coastal Trophy plaque hand delivered engraved with each angler name.
- Continental, Country or Coastal Angler Caps with Angler names
- Commercial representation and spokesperson for the sport

The 2007 World Championship Heavyweight Division. 
This tournament division is a non title division in the 2008 tournament season. There is a seperate cash pot that will be awarded to the winner or winners at the end of the tournament season. The cash pot is based on the number of entries.

:: OFFICIAL CLOSING AND WINNERS DATES::
On the 22ND of December 2008 at 12:00 Eastern Standard Time, the tournament will officially close. No scoring for points will be accepted after the above date and time. Any preliminary points that were added to an Anglers points standing will be immediately deducted.
The tournament committee and its officials will begin tallying all scores. On the 30th of December 2008 the tournament committee will announce the title winners and WCSSA World Champion on the website, as well as other media outlets including sending all registered contenders an email listing of the winners. All tournament winners will receive a trophy and other prizes within 30 days after the announcement date.
