2007 World Champion Surf Fisherman Leave No Doubt Why He Is King Of The Surf

Competitions Frame Between February 5, 2007 to December 18, 2007
The 2007 World Championship tournament season came to a sweeping finish with once again a Southern California Surf fisherman capturing the World Championship Silver Cup with an astonishing 804 confirmed catches and a Southern California Team capturing the 2007 World Champion Surf Casting Team title with over 1607 confirmed catches in the 45-week tournament season.
The 2007 undisputed World Champion Surf and Shore Angler Randy Toji left no doubts with the Surf and Shore fishing communities throughout the world why he is the king of Surf and Shore fishing.
Both Randy and his newly minted World Champion Surfcasting teammates The Orange County, California OC Guerillas
caught a whopping 1607 fish during the 45-weeks tournament season in 2007. Out of the 1607 fish caught by the Southern California OC Guerillas Surf Casting Team, 829 were reeled in by Randy, with an average of 26.4 confirmed catches per tournament outing.
The 2007 World Champion was pulling out of the Southern California Surf everything from Corbina, bat ray, halibut, white croaker, sand bass, spotted bay bass, diamond turbot, Yellow fin croaker and the list of surf and shore fish species read like a marine biologist almanac.
The vestal World Champion used an array of lures and baits ranging from Kastmaster, Little Cleo, Luckycraft Flash minnow to dead stick baiting with shrimp, squid and the list goes on.
His Instinctive ability to adjust fishing tecnique in a moment notice to fishing condition left tournament operation at times scrambling to reload fax machines and checking pictures of catches to keep up with his scoring reports.
Only one other World Championship Angler out the 42 World Championship Contenders fielded came close to the 2007 World Champion catching pace during the tournament season.
Not surprisingly Randy OC Guerilla Surf Fishing teammate Jeff Tesoro aka Charlie came close to catching him in fishes caught by accompany him 98% of time during the tournament season while fielding as a team. With a sore shoulder from throwing lures like his Big Hammer grubs Kalin grubs and dead sticking with bait that he secretly will not share with the public.
Jeff Tesoro capture the 2007 North American Champion title beating out two New York World Championship Anglers, one angler becoming one the Cinderella stories of the 2007 tournament season the 2007 East Coast Champion Surf & Shore Angler.
Joseph Wenegenofsky a.k.a. Wedge was a Cinderella story throughout the 2007 tournament season quietly capturing the 2007 East Coast Champion Surf & Shore Angler.
Figuratively he was the last man standing or ‘Fishing” in the 2007 tournament season on the East Coast of the United States. Wedge continued to field and fish into December 2007, while the famed Ocean City, Maryland and Delmarva Surf and Shore anglers lost their heart at the initial beginning of the final quarter of the 2007 tournament season to compete against the extremely skilled and competitive Southern California surf & shore anglers. Wedge continued to fish with both tunnel and night vision and blazing up his reel with his deadly catching lure a Super Strike Zig Zag off the South Shore of Long Island, New York his favorite fishing spot the famed Montauk, New York shoreline.
The Surf Rat.com and Long Beach Anglers member were striking on every outing nothing less than 70 catches mostly Strippers Bass and possibly took an unrecorded 2007 Largest Fish Landed during the tournament season. In one night outing Wedge was accompanied by tournament committee member Jason Douglas who was only on hand to fish, and witness a 2-3 hour catching onslaught of Stripper Bass stacked up on a jetty off Long Beach, New York. The humble young man who ties custom fishing flies and attends college attributes part of his power catching abilities to the old school knowledge on SurfRats.com and West End Tackle tackle arsenal information.
Singapore Champion Surf Fisherman is Cinderella Story during World Championship
The biggest Cinderella story during the 2007 World Championship Surf And Shore Tournament season is the reigning 2007 Singapore Champion Surf and Shore Angler, the Captain of 2007 Singapore Champion Surf & Shore Fishing team.
Singapore Surf Anglerz team captain Azzahar captured the 2007 Singapore Champion Surf & A shore Angler title, by smart, strategic use of the rules, scoring and pure love for the sport. Moreover, and most importantly both him as his teammates cleaned up the Singapore Shoreline in catches, sometimes frustrating and infuriating his countryman leaving nothing on shoreline behind. Azzahar kept the pace with the World Championship Contenders field out casting and catching 75% of the worldwide tournament field. Nevertheless, what has to be noted that while fielding as a team they had one secret weapon, teammate Yan who consistently targeted and caught large rare catches during their fielding days . One such catch by Yan was a 35lb/16kg Leopard Ray which was 5lbs/2.3kg lacking from 2007 Largest Fish Landed award won by Delmarva Championship Top Contender Ben Verner a.k.a. Chalkbait for his 39lb/17kg Stripper Bass caught off Ocean City, Maryland shoreline. Nonetheless Azzahur and his teammates became the Cinderella story during the tournament earning the respect and worrisome of their fellow World Championship Contenders.
A respected win for the 2007 West Coast Champion Surf casting Team title by West Coast Aviation Professionals who unwittingly set the endurance race throughout the 2007 tournament season keeping the World Championship Surf casting Team division looking over their shoulders for a possible catching frenzy from the fly boys skyrocketing The team in points. However, the Aviators stable their wings a stayed on a consistent jet stream putting up steady numbers in catches to capture the 2007 West Coast Surf casting Team title by knocking one of 2-West coast teams out of reach of the Coastal Championship cup.
Staying consistent in catches and living by his owns words “At who be at the end”
the 2006 World Champion Surf & Shore Angler Dana Wilburn captured the 2007 West Coast Champion title. In the 2007 tournament season Dana admitted being faced with distraction that kept him from putting the extreme time in to make an effort for the 2007 World Championship Silver cup.
But the experience Champion sized up the performance of the US West Coast Contender field and put in enough time to capture the West Coast Champion title, which was vacant in the 2006 tournament season.
Last Year 2007 World Champion Surf and Shore Anglers Tournament season could be in comparison to the 2007 American football season with one Angler being Patriots quarterback, 2007 World Champion Randy Toji sweeping the 2007 Contenders field and his Team of Southern California Anglers the OC Guerillas demolishing the 2007 World Champion Surfcasting Team field. However, with the 2008 World Championship Tournament opening on February 15, 2008 Anglers and Teams from Singapore, North America and South Africa are already lining up to make a challenge to claim the right to be reigning powers of Surf and Shore Fishing.

Moutauk Madness Pushes New York World Championship Surf Angler To The Top

Competitions Frame Between September 3, 2007, 2007 to September 26, 2007
While Southern California OC Guerillas continue their unprecedented domination of the 2007 World Championship Tournament season, Eastern Coast World Championship Surf Fishing Anglers have almost faded off the beaches in respect as some of the best Surfcaster in the world. But one lone Eastern Coast World Championship Surf Fishing Angler was like A-Rod is to the Yankee, saving the US East Coast a little dignity and respect. 2-weeks ago
It was Montauk Madness for New York World Championship Top Contender Wedge who caught a 2-day fishing frenzy of migrating Stripper Bass headed south for the winter. It was a story book catching frenzy for the young World Championship angler with his rod and reel screaming landing over 100 stripper bass ranging anywhere from 12-31.5lbs. in a two days stretch.
Wedge accomplish his 100 catches feat with a pencil popper lure, darter lure and his girlfriend sitting on the beach keeping track of his catches. The only problem Wedge had during his magnificent outings was replacing bent treble hooks on his lure and swapping his camera batteries into his digital scale to keep track of the weights.
Meanwhile SoCal World Championship Top Contenders Santaro36 and Charlie slip to the second and third seats with an inventory of un-scored score sheets of catches and the tournament committee working overtime to tabulate their scores.
And across the world Singapore Surf Anglerz who lead the way for the Singapore Championship title and staying in distance of the OC Guerillas in the team division now have to fight to stay on top as Team Yaman Fishing has started blazing their reels with gritty catches from Marine Catch fish to Leopard Sharks.
But the 2007 tournament season is not over and this is the infamous Fall Run when World Championship Surf Anglers hit the beach and shores to take advantage of the migrating schools of fish combing the shorelines. With powerhouse 2006 Eastern Coast Champion Donna Gutheridge hitting the beach and West Coast Aviation Surfcasting team steadily working the surf the 2007 tournament season continues to be a crap shoot on who will take the Coastal, Country Championship titles and who will be the World Best Surf & Shore Angler and what team is the best surfcasting team in the world.
THE START OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SURF FISHING INFAMOUS FALL RUN

Competitions Frame Between August 8, 2007, 2007 to September 3, 2007
One week away from the beginning of the final quarter in the 2007 tournament season. The normally mundane summer session of the 45-week tournament was full of dramatics both on and off the field of competition leaving gaps in the champion positions.
As the tournament committee returns to 24/7 updating and weekly highlights the summer session ends with Cinderella stories and big disappointments in the field of competition. With the beginning of the infamous fast pace and ever-changing fall run, gaps in the championship frames have left championship tiles open for easy pickings.
The Stacked Up North American Pacific Rim, dominated by SoCal (Southern California) World Championship Surf Fishing Team OC Guerillas and Top Contender Santoro36 continue the methodical destruction of the Championship leaving the majority of North American East Coast teams and contenders running off the beaches and the Eastern Coast Championship title up for grabs. But 3-teams and 4-World Championship Contenders continue to press on to capture championship victory of the World best surf fishing team and anglers.
As the tournament committee tallies summer session catches, from teams and contenders and prepare to announce the winning cash prize. Some anglers will face elimination from the tournament. While some World Championship Contenders and Teams will scramble to place in the championship gaps for the right to be called coastal, country and ultimately the World Champion.

Angler Throws Tantrum In Tournament And Withdraws While Competition Continues
The summer session of the World Championship is notoriously known as being the slowest period of the 45-week tournament course. But this year summer session has been a hotbed of controversy, poisons pen fights and one team gracefully taking a reduction in points.
Singapore Surf Anglerz who have had a phenomenal first tournament season and their team captain Azzahar Cinderella who continues to climb as a World Championship Top contender unwarily stumble on a tournament loop hole while competing in the tournament. This unintentional mistake landed them big points sky-rocketing them to the top seats.
While fishing in the tournament on the infamous Bedok Jetty in Singapore, the quick thinking Captain of Singapore Surf Anglerz changed his teams rod and reel rigging and started targeting Herring. Within less than 2-hours the weary team had landed over 500 herrings with rods a reel using some team members as cadies to remove the small catches.
Almost immediately a poison pen scoring challenge arised in regards to their Herring catches came across the World Championship message board by and unlikely contender. Rookie Singapore Contender Shoreangler adamantly argued that the Herrings catch should be thrown out.
He continued his lethal barrage against his countrymen for 3-days both on the world championship message board and internally bombarding the tournament committee with emails threatening his withdraw if the scoring verdict was not overturned and Surf Singapore Surf Anglerz be eliminated from the championship.
The tournament committee decided to investigate and monitor an open forum on the issue. Humbly and graciously the Singapore team and their captain proactively talked with other contenders and team captains about his grand catch. Unwittingly the team admitted to using gang hooks on their rods making multiple catches in one cast. It was at that point the tournament chairman Jason Douglas announced on the forum that a scoring reversal was immanent once a majority body of tournament committee members could meet.
The Singapore Surf Anglerzs were gracious on the open decision to reverse the score, and even humble there selves in writing toward shoreanglers lethal pen. But Shoreangler still wanted them eliminated from the tournament.
So prior to the ruling tournament committee members reached out to industry experts, spectators, World Championship Contenders and Champions who had been monitoring the forum for their opinions.
The majority of the Contenders first impression was astonishment at Shoreanglers writing and reaction towards the Singapore Surf Anglerz Captain Azzaher. But all the World Championship Anglers felt that Azzaher and his team member were also being sincere in making unknowingly mistake in targeting the Round-eyed Herrings with gang hooks.
Nonetheless tournament committee Dwayne Cater pointed out that in the rules and regulations there is no clear definition of how many hooks can be used on a rod or the disqualification of Round-eye Herring. It was further echo by one past champion, that normally surf and shore anglers do not target catches that are considered bait fish, but what one considers a bait fish in one part of the world maybe considered a sporting catch to another.
Meanwhile with all the drama, and sand kicking emails from shoreanglers that was going on behind the scenes the tournament action did not stop. The OC Guerrillas, West Coast Aviations, Long Beach Anglers and Singapore Surf Anglerz continuing to take to the field fishing, catching and scoring points.
The tournament committee voted and reached a decision reversing 90% of Singapore Surf Anglerz Herring score, taking responsibility for 10% of the score because of the unclear definition in the rules and regulations.
However after all efforts the meaning competition got the best of Shoreangler who continued to throw a tantrum withdrawing from the tournament because he still had to share the spotlight with the young rising Singapore Top Contender and Team Captain.
The tournament committee was sadden at Shoreangler decision to leave the tournament, but felt that he might possibly realized that he was no longer the biggest fish in his pond, but was on the world stage in ultimate fish off to decide the best surf and shore angler in the world. The World Championship Surf & Shore Anglers Tournament.

Fishing Frenzy Battle for World Championship Supremacy In Singapore Straits
As SoCal World Championship Contenders continue their methodical fishing dominance in 2007 World Championship Surf Fishing season, leaving the US Eastern Coast World Championship Contenders and teams almost inept in the World Championship. A surf fishing battleground is peculating in Singapore.
Two-World Championship Singapore Contenders and one Singapore World Championship Surf Fishing Team are battling there way to the top for the rights to be crowned Singapore Champion Surf & Shore Angler and Team. And the ultimate Surf Fishing prize the World Championship Silver Cup.
The Singapore World Championship Contenders and teams bring different surf and shore fishing styles and tactics.
World Championship Singapore Contender ShoreAngler enter the 2007 World Championship season bringing big game catches boosting him in points and establishing himself as A World Championship Contending force to be recognized. ShoreAngler is also the second Webmaster hailing from Singapore Fishing Newsroom domain to enter the 2007 tournament season.
But as the current World Champion Dana Wilburn wisely said, “Can ShoreAngler go the distance?” in the 45-weeks long tournament.
Meanwhile Singapore World Championship Top Contender and the Singapore Surf Anglerz Team Captain Azzahar is becoming a World Championship Surf & Shore Angler Legend with his teammates Yan, Saleh and Josh by his side.
After being on hiatuses for 4-weeks Azzahar came back blazing his reel, leading his team in an unprecedented one day fielding catch of 577 herrings using an unknowing loop hole in what can be scored. Their astonishing feat was accomplish by total team effort with team members rotating as caddies taking the catches off the line to insure the shortest time possible to cast and catch again.
Internally the 577 herrings caught by the Singapore Surf Anglerz caused a riff between tournament scoring boss David Bellamy and tournament chairman Jason Douglas. David wanted to throw out the 577 herring from scoring because the Herring are generally considered bait fish, but Jason noted that a rule was never created against scoring the fish species. The stalemate between the two-committee members was broken by committee member Top who pointed out in "worldly fashion" that the Herring are “good eating pan fries” and could be considered a delicacy in the Indochina region.
Back in North America SoCal World Championship Contenders and Teams are beating US eastern seaboard World Championship Contenders and Teams into submission. World Championship New York Top Contender Nathan Morris line was light with catches of Bluefish off Jamaica Bay, New York. And Reel Women, Long Beach Anglers and AtlanticAnglers lines have either gone light or dry the last 2-weeks leaving West Coast Aviation hustling in movement up the tournament boards and the OC guerillas continuing there catching power in their clandestine fishing holes.
The only other two notable’s standouts in the US East are World Championship New York Contender Wedge who has been casually casting and pulling out big Stripper Bass “Imagine if got serious” and powerhouse Delmarva World Championship Contender Chalkbait continues to fish and hold the lead for the 2007 Largest Fish Landed Award.
Could Chalkbait be this year wildcard? Has Team Aqueraus backed out of the wild wild West Coast? Is the Wildly Fox Donna Gutridge team captain of the Reel Women sitting on a large catch report to turn in under the 30-day rule?
As the 2007 World Championship Surf & Shore Anglers Tournament moves into the second half of the tournament season can Southern California OC Guerillas hold on to their lead? World Championship Aussie Contender Hellsmansam is starting to cast his lines. While back on the wild wild West Coast the West Coast Aviation Team is picking up reel speed.

Delmarva Surf Fishing Anglers Are Catching To Close The Gap On The West Coast
And Australian Takes The Field
The past 2-weeks in the tournament competitions it was dejvu from the 2006 tournament season with Delmarva Top Contenders blazing their surfcasting Reels to thrust through the Team and Contenders frames to challenge the Southern California Top Contenders and Teams, But The Lone Aussie World Championship Angler Has Taken The Field.
Delmarva Top Contender Chalkbait took the field at Folly Beach, South Carolina on a two day frenzy catching and releasing Spinner and Sharpe nose Sharks off the beach. Day and night, catch and release was methodical workout for pulling in the sharks and releasing them back into the surf to boost him in points to challenge SoCal Top Contender Charlie for third seat in the Top 5 seats.
But on the Southern California shoreline SoCal Top Contenders Charlie and his Team member Top Contender Santaro36 have not slowed down their pace with outstanding catches of Corbinas, Yellow Fin Croackers, Diamond Turbots.. which have kept them dominating both the Contender and Team division. But if you’re a gambler don’t put all your cards on the table yet with two dominate SoCal Anglers,
because Ocean City Contender Sam Kilgore accelerated in points landing big Strips and Sharks along with his team member Coop. The Web Boss for Atlantic Anglers.
has been hitting Big Strippers, Spinners and Black Tip Sharks close to state record size with a bountiful fishing season off the Aussateague Island shoreline.
Speaking of Bosses 2006 World Champion Dana Wilburn continues his consistent catches of Halibuts and Barred Surf Perches to keep pace with the moving Contenders board
And also racking up points Ocean City World Championship Surfcasting Team Reel Women were screaming on their fishing lines with team member Kayrell Wilkerson landing volumes of Bluefish off the Fenwick Island, Delaware Surf.
And Australian World Champion Contender Hellsmansam has started taking the field, which could spell trouble for the Contender In The Hunt when the Aussie starts report his catches from the surf.
With tournament starting to move into the second half of the tournament season, has the Contender and team field started to form with champions? Or will Singapore, Australia, West Coast Aviation, or New York or North Carolinas World Championship Contenders blaze their fishing reels to the top in the quest to find the world best surf fishing anglers in the world.

Lady Surf Fishing Champion Blazes Her Reel To Take Back Her Position
Eastern Coast Surf Fishing Champion Donna Gutridge blazed her Reel over the past 2-weeks to take back the 3rd Seat in Top 5 bracket seats. Meanwhile A New York “Young Gun” World Championship Contender hits big at Montauk.
Over the past 2-weeks in the World Championship tournament season, Southern California World Championship Top Contenders and Teams have been steadily using their qualifying days, catching and racking up points.
World Championship Surf Fishing Team OC Guerrilla, continue using their days fishing in there clandestine shorelines and methodically landing Yellow Fish Croakers, Sargo, Diamond Turbots, Halibuts and array of other Southern California shore species to earn points and keep them ahead of the rest of the tournament field.
World Championship Surf Fishing Team West Coast Aviation made up of employees from famed Gulfstream Aerospace have started climbing in points with catches of Spotted Bay Bass, to come into contingent as the leaders for the West Coast Champion Surf Fishing Team.
But the big news for the past 2-weeks was on the East Coast of North America.
With the 2006 Eastern Coast Champion Donna Gutridge blazing her reel with catches of American Shad,. Kingfish, Dogfish and a phenomenal numbers of Bluefish. I guess you could say, “The Lady Champion was singing the Blues-fish”. And ironically she once again accelerated back into the Top 5 seat brackets to take back her 3rd seat which she held last year during the 2006 tournament season by blazing her reel with her catches keeping the rest of the 2006 tournament frame scrambling.
But her 3rd seat in Top 5 brackets knocked the 2006 World Champion Dana Wilburn out of the Top 5 seats who had light reports of Barred Surf Perch and Halibuts. But we doubt the World Champion is sweating it because he knows the tournament is not at the half way mark yet.
His position is potentially being challenge by a new “Young Gun” New York World Championship Contender Wedge who is a World Championship Long Beach Angler Team member. Wedge struck out on his own this past week to fish one of Surf Fishing Mecca of the World, Montauk New York. He hit big catching Big Strippers running up the coastline and running him up in points.
Meanwhile Singapore Top Contender Edwin continues catching and holding traction in points with catches of Marine Catfish.
But the Singapore Surf Anglerz Captain and Top Contender Azzahar reported in that his Team and Team Yaman Fishing have been battling it out on the shores of Singapore and their fishing reports are forthcoming.
And finally a tournament wildcard could be emerging in the next few weeks with a message from Australian World Championship Contender Hellmansam his message was “I’m going fishing now”, with 6-weeks to go to the half way point of the 45-weeks surf fishing tournament to find the best Surf Fishing Anglers in the world.

Surf Fishing Champions Step up with tactical movement on the boards.
This past week it was not volume catches that proved to be the spectacular action in the World Championship it was the maneuvering and target tactical catches that proved to be the acceleration in points.
Dana Wilburn the 2006 World Champion came out of hiatus to continue his catching pace of Halibut and Barred Surf Perch, which made him the undisputed World Champion last year.
But his catch count was light and which dropped him out of the Top 5 seats for the first time in since July 2006. But Dana points were enough to keep him on the edge of the Top 5 seats, with him knowing that it’s only the first half of the season.
Yet it was Delmarva, Donna Gutridge, the 2006 US Eastern Coast Surf Fishing Champion and also her Delmarva Reel Women World Championship Surfcasting Team that made the spectacular climb up both the World Championship Contenders and Teams board and not with volume of catches but with true instinctive Surf Fishing tactics. Donna who is competeing again in the World Champion Contender division, is also captaining her prizing winning Women surfcasting team in the World Championship Team division.
On May 13, 2006 she led her team on the shores on Fenwick Island Delaware in the 29th Annual Spring Surf Fishing tournament.
Donna and her Team mates landed respectable catches during the tournament to earn additional World Championship bonus points at the sanction tournament.
But Donna and The Reel Women Team were not finished with the Fenwick Island Shoreline yet. Returning the next day after tons of bait had been thrown in water during the tournament instinctively she knew that lingering big scavenger fish were prowling off shore. Their strategy paid off catching Big Blues, Skates and Dogfish with Reel Women Team member Kayrell Wilkerson landing a 15lb 31inch Bluefish and Donna landing a 40lb Dogfish as Donna putted “This was surprise Attack”.
Donna was recently quoted in the Ocean City, Maryland Bayside Gazette Newspaper saying “This year I’m bringing home the silver the heck with this gold stuff” and based on recent tactical outing she mean business.
Yet it was business as usual for the Southern California Surfcasting team OC Guerillas who continue to conservatively use their qualifying days and maximize their catching power in clandestine surf fishing holes on the Southern Pacific Rim.
The Two powerhouse World Championship Contenders on the OC Guerillas Charlie and Santaro36 continue blazing their reels with Santaro36 sitting in the “Top” 5 seats and Charlie battling between 2nd and 3rd seat in the Top 5 seats attempting a blocking maneuver like a NASCAR race team.
But with the mention of Powerhoue and Speed New York World Championship Top Contender Nathan Morris has been blazing his reel counting everything he is landing coming out of the water with a dedicated fever pitch to stay in the Top 5 seats. Nathan has been ecstatic like a marathon racer with a second wind since moving in the Top 5 seats, which in the 2006 tournament season eluded him because as he put it his “A learning curve of the tournament rules and regulations”. Now Nathan has become a master of the game hoping to keep up the pace with the chance of becoming the Eastern Coast, North American or World Champion Title.
Right behind him sitting in the 4th seat is World Championship Top Contender Chalkbait who broke his own lead a week ago landing a 44lb Strip Bass off Assateague Island, Maryland for the 2007 Largest Fish Landed Award. He is all reported fielding throughout the North American Memorial Day Holiday in hopes of landing and boosting in points to challenge Charlie, Nathan or Santoro36 for their seats.
But we have not reached the half point of the 2007 World Championship Tournament Season, it’s still anybodies guess who will be at the end. In the Ultimate Surf Fishing Challenge The 2007 World Championship Surf & Shore Anglers Tournament.

3 Surf Fishing Teams Take The Field While Top Contender Chalkbait Strikes Again! With A Record Size Catch
Once again Delmarva World Championship Top Contender Chalkbait strikes again fishing with his Atlantic Anglers teammates and landing a whopping 39lb. Stripper Bass
breaking his own current lead for the World Championship Largest Fish Landed Award and helping boost his surfcasting team in points.
But the Atlantic Anglers did not need much help in points with Team Captain Sam Kilgore, Coop and Cosnapper blazing their reels to catapult in the race to catch Team OC Guerrilla.
Again it was the OC Guerrilla clandestine fishing holes and teamwork that kept them moving up in points and controlling the Top 2 seats held by Santaro36 and Charlie with their volume catches of Yellow Fin Croakers, Diamond Turbots and Corbina King Santaro36 striking and landing close to his normal Corbinas.
And now that Charlie has moved back into the number 2 seat. Nathan Morris slip into 3rd seat logging decent catches of Stripper Schoolies and snapper Bluefish off the Breezy Point Inner point in New York.
And with Bluefish all over the Northeastern Coast of United States, the Long Beach Anglers surfcasting team took advantage of the action making a “Night Move” up and down the jetties of Long Beach, New York and striking a Bluefish schooling frenzy “Moving, hitting and catching” until their arms were sore from fighting and reeling.
But there was no fighting and reeling from West Coast Aviation who logged a light catch report with 3-team members taking the field. Yet their catches were decent size Yellow Fin Croaker and White Croaker they were able score a respectable amount of points dropping Team Aqueryus out of the Top 5 Surf fishing Team frames.
No report yet from the Reel Woman Team who’s Team Captain Donna Gutridge has also slip in the World Championship Contenders division, but everybody knows you can never count the Lady Angler out on the flipside of out
Delaware World Championship Contenders Scott Aiken and David Price who were both Bethany-Fenwick Tournament winners have not logged their catches yet which could possibly moved them with ease up the Contender division board. The full spring run under way, all World Championship Contenders and Teams with the same amount of time frame and we are not even at the halfway point of the 2007 tournament season ….
It’s still an open race in the ultimate surf fishing challenge to find the surfcasters in the world!

SoCal Top Contenders continue their dominance but US Eastern Coast came alive with Bluefish and Contenders blitzing the beaches
Again it was another remarkable week for Southern California Santaro36 and Charlie of team OC Guerillas
both in the World Championship Surf Fishing Teams and Contenders division with catches of Sargo, Diamond Turbot, Yellow Fin Croaker, Spotted Bay Bass and volume catches of Corbina from the Corbina King Santaro36.
But the Eastern Coast came alive with perfect fishing weather and Bluefish blitzing the beaches up and down the eastern seaboard.
New York Top Contender Nathan Morris was like a junkie on pristine Breezy Point using up 6 fishing periods to take advantage of the blitzing Bluefish to continuing his rhythmic climb in points in the Top 5 Seats.
Even World Championship Contender Sandman got into the Bluefish action catching in volume on inner Breeze Point inlet off the New York shoreline. And Also out of New York World Championship Contender Wedge took the field targeting Stripper Bass off the Long Beach New York Shores, only to switch riggings and take advantage of the Bluefish bites.
Meanwhile further down the North American Eastern Coastline, Team Atlantic Anglers got into the Bluefish frenzy off the Delmarva coastline with a frantic preliminary report from Team Captain and World Championship Contender Sam Kilgore reporting a mass amount of bluefish catches.
But mass amount was not the case this week with Singapore Surf Anglerz or Team Yaman. But targeting for record sizes catches for the Singapore Teams helped to keep them moving and climbing in the team division.
Team Yaman Captain Hishamuddin struck gold with a rarely caught close to shore Giant Trevally along with respected size Russell’s Snapper.
And Singapore Surf Anglerz Captain and Top Contender Azzahar continue their impressive catches of Striped eel tail catfish, Whiting and a small ray along too help add points to keep him solidly seated in the Top 5 seats.
And Singapore Top Contender Edwin reported in working the shorelines with his favorites target marine catfish as his primary catches spawning over 3 day fishing period keeping him on the edge of returning to the Top 5 seats.
And still no reporting from West Coast Aviation Surf fishing team which fielded 2 weeks ago and sent in preliminary report of strong catches. Could this cause controversy?
With US eastern coast teams and Singapore Teams blazing their reels is change in the wind in the World Championship.

Thunderstorms & Rain Keep Singapore Surf Fishing Teams Off The Beach,
While late reporting might be a New tactic by World Championship Surf Fishing Teams & Contenders
As the Tournament Scoring Team sat in the ready position for the surge of scoring reports from World Championship Teams and Contenders who took the field this past week in the tournament. The 2-tournament fax machines were silent throughout Sunday April 29th.
The silence was broken at about 19:00 eastern standard time by 3-scoring sheets submitted by New York Top Contender Nathan Morris who spent Saturday South in New Jersey trying too repeat his last week catching frenzy of Bluefish off the Brigantines Beach. His catch report was lighter than last week with schoolie Strips.
But with a silent Contender and Team board this week in the tournament he was the all-star catcher.
All-Star catcher was not the case for Alge310 with a very light catch report, however because of the lack of reports Alge310 was able to cruise within reach of becoming the third California Top Contender without any challenge.
And speaking of Challengers in the Team Division West Coast Aviations Professionals took the field and has not reported in yet, and neither did The OC Guerrilla who took the field throughout the week.
The only Team too report in was the Singapore Surf Anglerz Captain, checking in that Singapore had been drenched with thunderstorms and rain.
Could the OC Guerrilla who team captain Charlie and team member Santaro36 who are also the 2-current Top Contenders in the Contender division be using a Donna Gutridge tactic, by holding their score sheets? Or was it a miss? And was it a Hit or Miss for The West Coast Aviation Team? Or because the Aviators are methodical tacticians could they be putting together their score sheets from a strong field day of blazing reels?
Next week highlights should be very interesting!

But The Singapore Surf Anglerz have showed up with acceleration in the Team Division and their Team Captain entering the elite Top 5 Seats.
Still sitting in the Top Seat is Santaro36 with a magnificent catch report while his teammate Charlie fishing along side of him still hold the 2nd seat comfortably logging record catches in one of there clandestine fishing holes along with team member Saburo all working together to try too strategically create a gap in the Team and Contenders division.
But on the Eastern Coast of North America this past weekend it was the Twilight Zone in weather and fishing. With record temperatures of 75 degrees and
a exited and wild voicemail from New York Top Contender Nathan Morris who used one of his tournament days after hitting 4-Bluefish Frenzies and only quitting after he lost 2-Kastmasters!
And speaking of Twilight Zone Team Aqueryus took the field with team member Otis pulling in a rarely seen Lancetfish. According to a Game Warden only 5 have ever been seen close to the Southern California Shores. The last Lancetfish was reported 20 years ago “WOW!” Could this be another sign of global warming?
Meanwhile Singapore Top Contender Edwin strikes again with his lightning rod catches targeting Marine Catfish, keeping him in pace with the tournament field and poised to re-enter the Top 5 seats.
Knocked out of the Top 5 Seats, was 2006 U.S Eastern Coast Champion Donna Guteridge who was bump by newly minted Singapore Top Contender Azzahar with his sweet catch reports But can the Singapore Top Contender hold on to his seat?
2006 World Champion Dana Wilburn who sent in a light but respectable report to keep him in the 3rd Top 5 Seat.
With the water warming in the US Eastern Coast, Singapore in their prime and the rest of the Team and Contender field starting too hit the Surf the tournament season is staring to heat up!
Remember Every Contender and Team has the same amount fishing periods throughout the tournament season that they can fish and qualify for points! In the 45-weeks challenge to find the Best Surf & Shore Anglers in the world and ultimately to find the World Champion Surf & Shore Angler and Fishing Team.
Weekly Highlights for Tournament Week Nine

Competitions Frame Between April 8, 2007 and April 15, 2007
A powerful Northeaster battered the Eastern Seaboard paralyzing the majority of East Coast Teams, and Contenders from taking the field this past weekend in the tournament.
Leaving New York Contender Sandman with cabin fever, whistling and singing an old Otis Redding song 'sittin' on the dock of the bay Watching the tide roll away Ooo, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay Wastin' time, but he promises he won’t be wasting time on Jamaica Bay once Mother Natures stop spanking the Northeastern coast.
But Newly minted New York Top Contender Nathan Morris did not waste anytime accelerating to the Top 5 Seat,
by catching a Sky Bus to the Rock Bottom of the map Upper Matecumbe Key, Florida and wading the reefs catching Pompano, Mangrove Snapper, and A Juicy Size Grouper. Nathan was quoted in his email “I could have kept catching but I was afraid I would get to sunburn”.
Sunburn was definately not the case for Singapore Top Contender Edwin who’s becoming the Night Stalker in the tournament he reported in a great night of fishing with exotic catches that sent the scoring committee scrambling through the databases to score his catches.
Meanwhile on the West Coast of North America the song “It Never Rains In Southern California” does not always mean they have great fishing conditions. With rough surf preliminary reports from World Championship Teams & Contenders who participated in the Albackore Spring Surf Slam were light catches throughout the tournament day.
Team Aqueryus did not report in yet but according to our source their was nothing to report from tournament with bad surf fishing conditions, leaving the West Coast Aviation Professional Team with only enough lift as the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina:
But good lift in North Carolina was the case for U.S. Eastern Coast Champion Donna Gutridge who took the field at Buxton, North Carolina and submitted her catches 24-hours after last week’s updates and in true champion form accelerated to the top only challenged by two Top Contenders on both the Left and Right Coasts.
But still unchallenged in the Team Division the almost Mystical Team “But always verified” OC Guerrilla who skipped the Albackore Spring Slam and sealth into one their clandestine fishing holes cleaning up to try to hold a firm grip in the Team division and holding on with 2-members in the Top 5 Seats.
This could all change with an undercurrent forming from Team Yaman Fishing and Singapore Surf Anglerz as their Team Captains are doing due diligence to submit their catch reports with the tournament committee in suspense with the potential size of their report which could be boat load or canoe load.
And finally a respected load of catches was reported by World Champion Dana Wilburn fishing in the bay pulling a Kayak load of Jack Smelt and Cudas to keep him in the Top 5 Seats.
It's only a matter of time before Mother Nature our unofficial tournament committee member loosen her grip on the North American coastlines and watch Singapore start their aggressive move up boards.
In the 45-weeks endurance challenge to find the best Surf & Shore Anglers in the world.
Weekly Highlights for Tournament Week Eight

Competitions Frame Between March 31, 2007 and April 8, 2007
Last Week 2 SC World Championship Top Contenders took the field unchallenged
Working in collective order to try to wedge a gap on the contenders board.
The dynamic duo of SC Top Contender Santaro36 and SC Top Contender Charlie
Stealth into one of their clandestine fishing holes catching enough Yellow Fin Croaker to supply a Southern Baptist Church Fish Fry!
Mixed in the bunch of YFC’s Santaro36 is being coined by the tournament committee as the “Corbina King!” we don’t know what he is rigging or what he is using for bait … but whatever it is he needs to patient it and sell it on late not television for $19.95 (all photos all catch and release)
Meanwhile 2006 World Champion Dana Wilburn struggles to keep pace with a lite catch report, but he’s a season competitor and knows that it’s the beginning of the tournament season.
2006 Eastern Coast Champion Donna Gutridge took the field last week moving south to Outer banks of North Carolina in hopes of catching some monster off the surf like Delmarva Top Contender Charkbait. But following her classic strategy she reported her timeout but not her catches as yet.
Further up the Northeastern Coast of North America the cold weather is still holding New York Contender Sandman off the beach, but he is charged and ready for the water temp to rise to 46 degrees. As he reported in Jonesing like a junkie who needs a fix!
And no report again from Singapore Top Contender Edwin but he could be resting knowing that he has the same amount of days as every other Contender in the World Championship.
But ripple in the surf with a couple of past Champions and Top Contenders are about ready to get into the battle to claim the right to be considered one the Best Surf Fishing anglers in the world.

This Past Week In The World Champion Surfcasting Team Division
The Official Beginning of Spring was Hot & Cold
World Championship Surfcasting Teams have been checking in, with 2 teams taking the field.
Again the Hot Team this past week was the OC Guerrilla with 2 team members taking the field and catching like a full team in the field. Santaro36 and Charlie hit a Yellow fin Croaker hole and fish it until it was dry!
Meanwhile on the Eastern Coast the Reel Women Team took the field, trucking 3 hours South from their home base to the Outer banks of North Carolina. The Captain of the Reel Women Team reported their timeout but not their catches, which is her classic style of leaving the competition grid in suspense.
Further up the Northeastern Coast of North America, Long Beach Anglers were brought to a freezing halt with winter like temperatures keeping them indoors and off the beach.
But soon to mount the beach will be the West Coast Aviation Team with their full compliment of Surfcasters all present and accounted for “And this year will be different than last year”. Second place will not be good enough!
Finally the mystery team has committed their Team in the challenge. For the first time ever Atlantic Anglers the primary fishing website on the east coast has register and put together a Team of some of the best Anglers in the Delmarva region. And those who follow the tournament will recognize some of the names 2006 World Championship LFL award winner iii and current 2007 World Championship Leader for the LFL award are only two members on the 5-man team. Has Singapore loss the will to put a Team in the field? And will the Texan finally get into the fight?
Every Team has the same amount of days to qualify; will the OC Guerrilla run out of their qualifying days? Did the Reel Women Team catch their bounty on the Outer Banks? Has West Coast Aviation brought the big guns in the battle for World Supremacy in the Team division? And will the Atlantic Anglers team be a spoiler or a dud?
It's going to a Battle Royal!
